As part of the Helmholtz AI Conference 2025, the Helmholtz AI team at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) welcomes you to an exciting Prologue Day on campus. Choose from a variety of engaging hands-on sessions, tutorials, or unconference contributions. Take the opportunity to join guided campus tours and explore KIT’s impressive large-scale facilities, including a nuclear reactor, the Energy Lab, a particle accelerator, and the HoreKa supercomputer. To make your experience seamless, KIT provides transportation between Messe Karlsruhe, downtown, and Campus North in the morning and evening. Meals, coffee, and childcare will also be available throughout the day.

Arrival to Messe Karlsruhe

Travel by car to one of the three connected federal motorways A5, A8 and A65. Coming from the A5/A8 motorway, please take exit 45 “Karlsruhe-Mitte” toward Karlsruhe. Exit the B10 in the direction of “Stadtmitte/Zentrum”. Coming from the A65 or B10 motorway, please take exit no. 2 in the direction of “Kongresszentrum” and follow the signs marked “Kongresszentrum”.

  • Travel by train from Basel, Paris, Hamburg or Berlin directly with the TGV or ICE. Messe Karlsruhe offers you an exclusive offer ↳ in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn.
  • Travel by plane to one of the three airports: Baden Airpark, Frankfurt Airport, Aéroport Strasbourg. You can reach the city centre from these airports by car or train within an hour.

  • From the main train station, take Line 2 (toward Knielingen Nord) or Line 3 (toward Daxlanden) to the Europaplatz Underground stop and change there to Line S2 toward Rheinstetten (alight at the Messe/Leichtsandstraße stop).
  • From the city centre, take Underground Line S2 toward Rheinstetten and alight at the Messe/Leichtsandstraße stop. Further information on departure times and prices can be obtained from Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV).
  • From Rastatt: Change at the Silberstreifen stop to bus route 106 in the direction of Neuburgweier Breslauer Str.
  • By bus (bus stop Karlsruhe, Messe), go from Ettlingen with no change via Bus route 106, direction Neuburgweier Breslauer Str.

The “Kongresszentrum” public underground car park with 1,000 parking spaces belongs to the Convention Centre. Disabled parking are located only on parking deck C. If these are not sufficient, the mother-child parking spaces can also be used. The elevator is located in the corridor of the “Hotel” exit. This multi-storey car park has three e-charging station parking spaces marked in green on parking level C. The car park has parking space for 1,000 cars. Here you can charge your electric vehicle (with type 2 plug) free of charge.
