As part of the Helmholtz AI Conference 2026, we invite you to an enriching Workshops & Tutorials Day (WTD) on 8 June, 2026, hosted on the Helmholtz Munich campus. This dedicated pre-conference day offers a diverse selection of hands-on workshops, expert-led tutorials, and interactive sessions designed to deepen technical skills, promote methodological exchange, and encourage collaboration across disciplines. Set within the inspiring research environment of Helmholtz Munich, the WTD provides an opportunity to explore applied AI topics in focused, small-group formats.

To ensure a seamless experience, transportation options, meals, coffee, and on-site childcare will be available throughout the day.

Arrival to the Helmholtz Munich Campus

Visitors arriving by car can access the Helmholtz Munich campus via Ingolstädter Landstraße 1. Ample on-site parking is available at the designated visitor parking areas, which are clearly signposted at the main entrance.

Munich is easily accessible by train from major European cities. If arriving by plane, Munich Airport offers frequent S-Bahn and shuttle services, bringing you to the city centre in approximately 35-45 minutes. Travellers arriving via Memmingen Airport can reach Munich in about one hour by car or airport shuttle services.

Once in Munich, the public transport network provides fast and convenient connections throughout the city, including to the Helmholtz Munich Campus.

  • Helmholtz Munich is well connected to Munich’s public transport network. The closest major hub is Munich-Feldmoching station, served by the S1 line and U2 underground line.
  • From Feldmoching, take bus 290 directly to “Helmholtz Zentrum München”.
  • From Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof):
    • Take the U2 in the direction Feldmoching and change to bus 290.
  • From Munich Airport (MUC):
    • Take the S1 toward Munich, exit at Feldmoching, and transfer to bus 290.

Visitor parking is available directly on campus and can be accessed via the main entrance at Ingolstädter Landstraße. Signage will guide you to the designated parking areas.

The House of Communication is centrally located and we recommend to travel by public transport. The nearest major station is Munich Ostbahnhof (Munich East Station), served by several S-Bahn lines, the U5 underground line, and multiple tram and bus connections.

Guests traveling to the House of Communication Munich by car can access the venue via August-Everding-Straße 25, where the entrance to the external underground parking garage is located.

  • From Munich Airport (MUC):
    • Take S-Bahn line S8 from the airport to Ostbahnhof.

The House of Communication Munich offers an external underground car park accessible via August-Everding-Straße 25.
