WORKSHOPS & TUTORIALS DAY

Hands-on learning to kick off the conference

Join us on 8 June 2026 at the Helmholtz Munich campus for the Workshops & Tutorials Day (WTD), a practical and interactive start to the Helmholtz AI Conference 2026.

The WTD offers expert-led tutorials, interactive workshops, and community-driven sessions that allow participants to explore methods, gain hands-on experience, and engage with peers in smaller thematic groups. It is designed to support researchers at all career stages and provide an application-oriented introduction to the topics featured in the main programme.

Beyond learning, the day also serves as an early opportunity for networking and community building, enabling participants to connect with colleagues from academia and industry before the conference begins.

Meals, coffee and on-site childcare will be available for all registered participants.

After the WTD, participants are welcome to join a self-paid dinner in downtown Munich. Find more details below.

Dinner

After a full day of workshops and tutorials, join us for a dinner at the Augustiner-Keller, one of Munich’s most beloved traditional beer gardens, starting at 19:30 h on Monday, 8 June.

Our reservation is in the beer garden. Upon arrival, please mention the Helmholtz AI booking and the staff will direct you to the correct seating area.

Please note that dinner costs are to be covered by participants.

How to get there:

The most straightforward way to get there is to take bus 295 from Helmholtz Campus to “Am Hart”, then the U2 from “Am Hart” to “Hauptbahnhof” / main station. It is then a short walk to the Augustiner-Keller.
