Hands-on learning to kick off the conference

The Workshops & Tutorials Day (WTD) took place on 8 June 2026 at the Helmholtz Munich campus, offering a practical and interactive start to the Helmholtz AI Conference 2026.

The WTD featured expert-led tutorials, interactive workshops, and community-driven sessions that enabled participants to explore methods, gain hands-on experience, and engage with peers in smaller thematic groups. It supported researchers at all career stages and provided an application-oriented introduction to the topics featured in the main programme.

Beyond learning, the day also served as an early opportunity for networking and community building, allowing participants to connect with colleagues from academia and industry before the conference began.

Meals, coffee and on-site childcare were available for all registered participants.

After the WTD, participants were invited to join a self-paid dinner in downtown Munich. Further details were provided below.
